Description
Create fun and colorful monster pencil holders to keep your desk organized and bright.
Materials
- Empty tin cans (cleaned and dried)
- Colorful paint or markers
- Craft foam or felt in various colors
- Scissors
- Googly eyes
- Glue (craft or hot glue)
- Pipe cleaners or pom-poms
Instructions
- Prepare the cans: Start by removing any labels from the tin cans. Make sure the edge of the can is smooth to avoid cuts.
- Paint the base color: Choose your favorite color and apply a coat of paint to the outside of each can. Let it dry completely.
- Add monster features: While the paint is drying, cut out shapes for the monster’s mouth, eyes, and any additional features from the craft foam or felt.
- Glue the features: Once the paint is fully dry, glue the eyes onto the can. Position your monster’s mouth and other features as you like, and secure them with glue.
- Finishing touches: Use pipe cleaners or pom-poms to add whiskers, horns, or other whimsical decorations. Feel free to get creative and make each monster unique!
