Description

Create a vibrant and colorful pumpkin suncatcher using melted crayons for a delightful Halloween decoration.

Materials

  • Broken crayons (various colors)
  • Wax paper
  • Iron
  • Scissors
  • Pumpkin template
  • Clear contact paper

Instructions

  1. Prepare your crayons by peeling off the paper.
  2. Create colored shavings using a grater, keeping them separate by color.
  3. Lay out your first piece of wax paper on a flat surface.
  4. Add crayon shavings arranged in the shape of the pumpkin.
  5. Place the second piece of wax paper on top to create a sandwich.
  6. Melt the crayons carefully with a warm iron, moving constantly to avoid burning.
  7. Cut out your pumpkin shape using scissors when the wax paper cools.
  8. Apply clear contact paper to finish and protect your suncatcher.
  9. Display it on a sunny window using tape.

Notes

Use a low heat on the iron to avoid burning the wax paper. Keep a cloth between the iron and wax paper to prevent sticking.
