Description

A creative and decorative craft project for making beautiful lanterns using pressed leaves and mason jars.

Materials

  • Mason jar
  • Pressed leaves
  • Tea light candles or fairy lights
  • Twine or ribbon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Collect and press leaves: Gather leaves from outside and press them between heavy books for several days until they are completely dried.
  2. Arrange leaves inside the jar: Once your leaves are ready, place them creatively inside the mason jar.
  3. Add lighting: Carefully place a tea light candle or fairy lights inside the jar with the leaves.
  4. Decorate the jar: If you’d like, tie twine or ribbon around the neck of the jar.
  5. Enjoy your lantern: Light the candle or switch on the fairy lights to enjoy the cozy ambiance.

Notes

Supervise children when using candles and let them take the lead in decorating.
