Description

A fun and engaging tactile experience for children using simple ingredients to create bubbly dough that encourages creativity and exploration.

Materials

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Baking soda (for added puffiness during play)
  • Food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking soda. Stir to ensure they are mixed evenly.
  2. Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix the water, vinegar, and vegetable oil. If you’d like colored dough, add a few drops of food coloring here.
  3. Combine Both Mixtures: Slowly pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture while stirring. This helps avoid clumps and ensures an even consistency.
  4. Knead the Dough: Once your mixture starts to come together, knead the dough with your hands for a few minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
  5. Play Time: Your bubbly dough is now ready! Kids can shape, squash, and manipulate it however they wish.

Notes

Supervise younger children during the kneading process. Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
