Description

Create a delightful bubble dough for sensory play that engages children’s creativity and fine motor skills.

Materials

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of dish soap
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk or spoon for mixing

Instructions

  1. Combine flour and water: In a mixing bowl, start by adding the flour and gradually mix in the water. Stir until combined.
  2. Add dish soap: Slowly incorporate the dish soap into the flour and water mixture, stirring continuously until the dough takes shape.
  3. Mix thoroughly: Use your hands to knead the dough just until it’s smooth and well-mixed. If you desire extra fun, add a few drops of food coloring during this step.
  4. Adjust consistency: If the dough is too sticky, add a bit more flour. If it’s too dry, carefully add a little more water.
  5. Play and explore: Once the bubble dough is prepared, let the kids shape, mold, and squish it into whatever they like. Encourage imaginative play, making various items together.

Notes

Lay down a plastic tablecloth or newspaper to minimize messes during playtime. Store any leftover bubble dough in an airtight container to keep it fresh for future play.
